logarithm

This is the logarithm for calculating the intensity of an earthquake. This logarithm was used to determine the Richter Scale of an earthquake, which is no longer used by geologists. Now they use a slightly different method, called magnitude.

The old saying that I grew up with was that if March comes in “like a lion” then it will “go out like a lamb.”

What I was neverĀ  on was if that meant the first day of the month only, or does it mean the majority of the days in the first week or so?

This year we had a cold and rainy day on March 1 and then the next 5 days have been gorgeous mild weather. So I wonder what that means for the end of the month?
